#LiveLikeCoco

One of our foundation’s first projects was sponsoring a grove in the Forest of Nisene Marks, where Coco liked to play and explore. Now, we have partnered with Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks to take third-graders from Santa Cruz County schools on field trips to Nisene Marks to see redwoods, and banana slugs, firsthand.

What makes this program extra special? Each student gets a book about trees from our foundation to take home — and a complimentary parking pass from Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks for a return trip with their families.

"Many students said that their trip to the Forest of Nisene Marks was the best thing about third grade. Our class trip was right before Mother's Day and several kids used the free parking pass to show their moms the redwoods they had just learned about."

All About Theatre’s Coco Lazenby Memorial Scholarship

During both of Coco’s All About Theater's shows, she formed strong friendships and created everlasting bonds; she would often tell her parents that she felt as though she had found "her people."

That’s why we are so honored that All About Theatre continues to honor the time Coco spent as part of their family by establishing a scholarship fund in her name. Learn more about how to apply for this scholarship, available to new theatre students.
